The whiskies you mention are nice but in comparing with the Scottish not that tasty,if you like to try a good French single malt try Guillon or better ,if still produced,Lac Holl. This last one is a very complex whisky and if the price doesn`t bother you ,try this one.I can also recommend you to try the whisky from Reisetbauer from Austria.

I tried it in past, but I was not impressed... maybe it was not a good recipe or something.

As whiskydrinkers we are spoiled, compared with Scottish single malt the mentioned whiskies are not that much.As most distilleries try to imitate Scotch it doesn`t taste so good. The best thing to taste the Continental or non-Scotch is in a tasting with other distilleries.I agree it has a long way to go Danip but we have to give them a chance to produce their brew, who knows what lies ahead?
