I have an old, unopened bottle fo Seagram's VO. The tax stamps on the cap are unbroken and it also has a Pennsylvania stamp on it as well. The Canadian excise stamp is dated 1964.

Is this something for a collector or should I just drink it and enjoy it?

I think that my original question is yet unanswered. I'd hate to swill it an then find out that some collector really wanted it to complete a collection. The heck with the auction price.

It is worth, as a collectible, less than $100 -- probably FAR less. This is a whisky produced in industrial numbers. It is NOT rare.
If you're a whisky fan, go ahead and drink it, perhaps alongside a current Seagram's VO to note the progressive differences over time.
If you do look to sell it, eBay is just about your only option to reach a large audience. The whisky-collecting community is relatively small and diffuse.
